Toyota Prius p1121 coolant valve fix
The code p1121 comes often toghether with p1116 and it DOES NOT relate to Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor Range/Performance Problem. This is a manufacturer's specific code and Toyota assigned it to Coolant Contriol Valve. For 2004-2009 Toyota Prius it is the part with number 16670-21010
Instrument cluster repairs

Gen 3 Prius EGR service and cleaning
P0401 is a common OBDII trouble code that’ll pop up in the 2010-2015 Toyota Prius. Over time, the EGR cooler will clog up with carbon deposits and restrict the flow of the exhaust back to cylinders. The cooler needs to be replaced or cleaned and assosiated intake lines need to be purged. The EGR valve itself seldon needs replacement like any other Toyota solenoid. Carbon is its biggest enemy and as long as it stays clean, it will function just fine.
Electric water pump replacement
The third Gen Toyota Prius came out with an innovative desing of the engine cooling system incorporationg an electronically controlled water pump. The pump itself has good perfomance but when the coolant looses its lubricating ability, the pump impeller grinds on the shaft and the unit fails. This scenario also happens often with accident cars when cooling system gets an ir pocket due to antifreeze leak. Replacing the pump on time is very important, because overheating the engine on the 2010-2015 Prius will most certainly lead to a blown head gasket.
